Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Cosmetic Practice
MATA is proud to offer our new Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of Cosmetic Practice ensuring the best start into a dynamic aesthetics career. This qualification follows precise guidelines delivered by CIBTAC (The confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology) who are responsible for producing new beauty graduates since 1977. Our partners and I recognise your need for the highest calibre of beauty qualifications ensuring you’re competent with laser therapies knowledge. Additionally, this is considered a pre-requisite for many CIBTAC Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications; we offer these for further advancement for beauty therapists.

What are MATA’s goals?
Our tutors are highly experienced and capable of giving you support throughout the course using teaching styles tailored to your needs. We have the experience in teaching many students like yourself and understand how to ensure the best practice throughout. We aim to prepare you with the core theory units using the virtual learning environment (VLE) and assess your understanding throughout.
Delivery of the qualification
As with many other courses available online, we have designed a VLE environment to ensure any place, any time you can keep up to date with regular courses and complete upcoming assignments. I am guessing like most of us, you are taking this course while working full-time, so as long as you have an internet connection, you will be able to work where you please. We have found this to be fantastic for new delegates, since they can ask for further feedback online and monitor their progress, ensuring they are passing all the required unit outcomes. The time to complete this qualification is roughly 137 hours, including internal assessments, completion of the core knowledge modules and study time. So, per individual, as you can imagine, it can vary depending on the time you have free to work through the core content. It’s all worth it in the end, our course gives you a fully accredited Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Cosmetic Practice recognised by CIBTAC, future insurance companies and within the beauty therapy industry.
We like to take a combinatorial approach in our teaching, which is why we have split assessments into VLE and written assignments. Our theory assessments are multiple tests in the form of written examinations, completion of core units on the VLE and end-of-unit evaluations online. This ensures you are proficient with the core knowledge surrounding laser therapies and feel confident before enrolling for the practical laser courses.
