Laser Vascular Reduction Training

Introduction

Laser and light vascular reduction treatments are becoming increasingly popular as when carried out properly they safely and effectively combat the appearance of leg and facial veins.  The lasers emit light which is readily absorbed by blood vessels, heating them to a point where they are destroyed. The laser light collapses veins and broken capillaries without doing any damage to the surrounding outer layers of the skin.  After the treatment, the vessels clear as they are reabsorbed by the body, leaving little or no trace of the original lesion.

Course content for the Laser and Light Vascular Reduction Training includes:

  • Anatomy of the skin
  • Identifying different types of veins
  • Different types of vascular laser technologies
  • Laser safety and maintenance
  • Pre and post treatment care
  • How to deal with complications
  • Demonstration by trainer
  • Practical session on models
